Small Town Pets

I know, I know, I am supposed to be taking it easy, but my nerve block is still active so except for numbness in my hand, I really can't feel anything. I just had to share this small town story.

My friend Deb took me to my surgery this morning (and kudos to Deb, besides being there for me, she was actually early for the first time I can remember). On the ride back, we were driving on one of the back roads. All of a sudden there was an animal in the middle of the road. Not a dog, not a cat, not even a squirrel or deer, or any other animal you might find in a normal town. It was a large black pig. He was just walking down the street like he owned it.

Deb is the biggest animal lover you will ever meet. She stopped her car, got out and escorted the pig safely home.

This is the kind of thing that only happens in small rural towns. Why can't we have normal animal encounters.

Well, I am going back to recovery. I had no idea it was this hard to type with a numb hand.
